He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Howard and Dora Howard; his wife Doris Howard; his daughter Marsha Sue Parman; and his siblings, J. R. Howard and Georgia Strassner.
He is survived by: his former wife Doris Jean True; and his children, Michael Howard (Patti) of Springfield, Rhonda Smith (Craig) of Excelsior Springs and Donna Gallas (Alan) of Kansas City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
