With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Brown Sams (Excelsior Springs, Missouri), born in Gallatin, Missouri, who passed away on March 24, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Sams and Mable Sams (Brown); his wife Lois "Frances" Pierson of Excelsior Springs; his daughter Phyllis Elliott; his great grandchild Adelyn Rose Sams; his siblings, Everett, Gerald, Jack Sams, Mary Erbes and Martha Leathworth; and his son-in-law Terry Shepard.
He is survived by: his children, Everett Sams (Kathy) of Excelsior Springs, Roy Sams (Sherry) of Excelsior Springs, Juanita Shepard of Excelsior Springs, Sharon Clevenger (Ron) of Excelsior Springs and Brenda Bickford (Mark) of Excelsior Springs; and his sister Rosalie Hunt of Excelsior Springs. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
