He is survived by: his sister Joyce Saylor; his brother-in-law George "Buddy" Whitman; his children, Patrica K. Long (Dennis), Jerry Holtzclaw (Virgina) and Ben Holtzclaw (Amanda); his grandchildren, Jason Long (Stacy), Kristina Busby (Roger), Samantha Holtzclaw, Brandon Hudlemeyer (Rhonda) and Kyle Hudlemeyer (Brooke); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Long (Destiny), Sean Long, Bryson Busby, Christopher Hudlemeyer and Benjamin Hudlemeyer.
