He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry "Willie" Monsees and Katherine Emma Wilhelmine "Katie" Monsees (Heismeyer); and his siblings, Lillian Monsees (Newton), Leonard John Monsees, Melvin Otto Monsees and Mary Louise Monsees.

He is survived by: his son Marty Monsees (Ellen); his sister Minnie Jett; his stepchildren, Perri, Denne Eckel and Lee Eckel; his grandchildren, Jeremy Wissmueller (Sarah) and Jena Eckel; and his great grandchildren, Navy, William, Thomas, Theodore Wissmueller, Adelyn and Aria Fusco.
