He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Denman Schrivener and Rodney Sr. Schrivener; and his brother Bert Schrivener. He is survived by: his wife Gail Welch; his sons, Kurt Schrivener (Pam) of Olathe, KS and Todd Schrivener (Becky) of Kearney, MO; his grandchildren, Matt, Nick, Jeremy, Heather and Amanda; and his great grandchildren, Raelynn, Harper and Emerson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kearney First Baptist Church (303 S Grove St, Kearney, MO 64060). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kearney First Baptist Church, or to the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Fund for Neiman-Pick Type C disease at the University of Notre Dame (to honor his great-granddaughter Emerson).
