He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Judson and Ida Bell Tipton; his son Stephen Ray Tipton; and his siblings, Charles, Delmar, Leon, Dean Tipton, Virginia and Wanda.

He is survived by: his wife Naomi Peggy Cross; his daughter Daronda Jean Parks of Poplar Bluff; his sister Maxine Beck of Poplar Bluff; his grandchildren, Justin Parks, Kyle Parks (Jenni), Michael Tipton (Chelsea), Dylan and McKenna Tipton; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Madison, Spencer, Lexie and Mason. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
