He was predeceased by : his daughter Colleen Bligh; his grandson Tyler Bligh; his siblings, John Bligh, Jim Bligh, Thomas Bligh, Edna Reed, Michael Bligh, Renard Bligh and Butch Bligh; and his parents, John Bligh and Edna Bligh (Nee Mueller).

He is survived by : his wife Annette Bligh (Nee Kuehn); his daughters, Kathy Prather (Mark), Mary Conover (Mark) and Carrie Bligh; his grandchildren, Coleen Leonard (Andrew), Abigail Grone, Christopher Grone (Jordan), Ethan Grone, Nicholas Conover (Paige) and Elizabeth Jackson (Jay); and his great grandchildren, Luke Leonard, Lily Leonard, Iris Conver, Benjamin Jackson and Matilda Jackson.

A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jesus Catholic Church (10235 Ashbrook Dr, St. Louis, MO 63137). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).

Memorial donations may be made in Marty's name to The St. Vincent DePaul Society- Holy Name of Jesus.
