She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Myers and Lucille Love Bennum (Bales); her brother James W. Bennum; her sibling's children, Rhonda Hillyard and Jim Griffin; and her sister-in-law Darlene Bennum.
She is survived by: her spouse Ivan "Johnny" Gates; her children, Allen Gates of Gilman City, MO and Marsha Clemens (Roy) of Stet, MO; her granddaughter Delta Clemens; her brother Gerald Bennum of Gower, MO; her sisters-in-law, Maudine Bennum of New Hampton, MO, Esther Miller, Vera Mae Gates and Clarice Smith; and her children, Dylon Pemberton, Bradley Smith and Thomas Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
