He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Otto (CeCe); his son Scott Otto (Kathy); his grandchildren, Spencer and Lily; and his siblings, Stephen C. Otto (Irmi), Sarah Merten (Alan), Theresa Patton (Duane) and Mary Lee Spence (Hugh).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Andrew Apostle Church or the American Heart Association.
