He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Smith and Verna Smith (Campbell); his wife Dorothy; his nephew Roger Sutherland; and his sister Louetta Clay.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Smith of East Freedom, PA and Suzanne Taylor (Larry) of Pleasant Valley, MO; his sister Betty Sutherland (Leonard) of Mountain Home, AR; his grandchildren, Chris Smith and Samantha Taylor; and his nephews, Michael Clay (Loveida) of Liberty, MO and Wesley Sutherland (Christy) of Norfork, AR.
