It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Marie Minchew (Gladstone, Missouri), born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Schmidt and Theresa Schmidt; her husband Raymond L. Minchew of Alabama; her siblings, Matilda Schmidt, John (Chanez), Neil (Mary), George, Art (Kay) and Robert (Rose); and her great grandchild Paisley Schlicht.
She is survived by: her cousin Myrtle Vano; her children, Lorene Gorombey (Joseph) of Kansas City, MO, Raymond Minchew (Carina) of Oakhurst, NJ, Donna Minchew of Sayreville, NJ and Alene Wilkins (David) of Summerville, SC.; her grandchildren, Jordan (Erin), Jared (Alicia), Joshua (Kristen), Janine, Julie Gorombey (Curtis) of Kansas City, MO, Carin Conus (Daniel) of Bethlehem, PA, Helena Minchew of Washington, DC and Olivia Wilkins of Beech Mountain, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Joey of Philadelphia, PA, Noah, Emma, Carly, Kiley, Annabelle Gorombey, Brant Skoch, Colton, Lincoln Yates of Kansas City, MO, Isabella and Edward Conus of Bethlehem, PA.. She is also survived by children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that no flowers be sent, but instead that a donation be made in her name to either her favorite charity St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
