He was predeceased by: his parents, Cres Bynum and Jessie Bynum (Therrell); and his siblings, Jack Bynum and Betty Sue. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Rodgers; his children, James Bynum (Jennifer) of Las Vegas, NV and Susan Williams of Platte City, MO; his siblings, John Bynum of Tucson, AZ, Jerry Bynum (Ginger) of Mobile, AL and Janice Carter (Joe) of Seminary, MS.; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Faith Bynum, Tessa, Violet Williams and Misha Martinez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the American Legion, Post 129.
