Richard Edward Backhus Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Edward Backhus (Gladstone, Missouri), born in Yates Center, Kansas, who passed away on June 28, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Backhus and Augesta Backhus; and his siblings, Erna King and Sonny Backhus. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ann Backhus; his siblings, Robert Backhus and Connie McConnell; his sons, Richard Paul Backhus, Troy Backhus (Shannon) of Indep and Roy Backhus of Las Vegas; his grandchildren, Matthew Backhus, Caleb Alberts, Cody Backhus, Kaleb Backhus, Melinda Backhus, Hannah Backhus, Dakota Williams and Haley Backhus; and his great grandchildren, Rylynne Backhus and Joslynne Mendoza.
