He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, William Louis and Lou Fern Gates (Stephenson); his wife Ruth Gates; his children, Ann Wallace (Dan) and Dean Gates; his grandchildren, Dakota, Nicole Wallace and Donnie Gates; his siblings, Ron Gates (Phyliss), Jerry Gates (Martha), Steve Gates (Pat), Greg Gates (Denise), Linda Lister (Gary), Liz Selle (Jim), Karen Collier (Bob) and Joanne Golding (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Auxier and Linda Auxier. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
