He was predeceased by : his parents, Jasper Haines and Kate Haines (Bernning); and his brothers, Clyde Haines, Dannie Haines, Joe Haines, Glenn Haines, James Haines, Paul Haines and David Haines.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Haines; his stepson Carlos Berry; and his stepgrandchildren, Carla Poterbin and Lacey Berry. He is also survived by five step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
