She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Bates and James Bates; and her siblings, Jimmy, David, Hugh, Finis and Paula.
She is survived by: her significant other Harold; her children, Lisa Fredrick (Tom) of Hallsville and Lewis (Janet) of Inman, SC; her grandchildren, Cyle and Scott; and her sisters, Emily and Gail.
The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Cancer Institute as she is a breast cancer survivor.
