He was predeceased by : his parents, Marvin K. Burris and Bernice C. Burris (Brown). He is survived by : his wife Tori Burris; and his siblings, Melvin Burris and Michelle Maxon. He is also survived by his children, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dickey Funeral Homes (2401 E Mechanic St, Harrisonville, MO 64701). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
