She was predeceased by : her father Charles Payton; and her husband Jim Nichols. She is survived by : her mother Dixie Payton; her children, Kim Morris (Ray), Shannon Hampton (Don Tate), James Nichols (Katie), Jed Nichols and Katie Nichols O'Connor (Ryan); her goddaughter Hannah Schlager (Caleb); her siblings, Mary Lohrstorfer (Chris), Kay Dina and Roger McAleese (Becky Laswell); her sister-in-law Brenda Nichols; her son Don Nichols; and her brother Brian Doyle Cox. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandkids, and great grandkids.
