He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil and Tula; his siblings, Dennis Hughes and Betty Pearson; his parents-in-law, Alva and Alpha Rains; his brother Ralph; and his siblings-in-law, Lucille Piper, John Roy Rains, Paul Jay Rains, Dale Rains, Irvin Rains and Buddy Rains.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Rains; his son Randy of Azle; his cousins, Clayton and Thelma; his daughter Ronda Hardt (Doug Purma) of Bolivar, Missouri.; his sister Donna Dempsey; his grandchildren, Kristen Johnson (Matt), Darren Hardt, James Hughes, Vincent Joseph Hughes (Samantha) and Christian Hughes (Cynthia); his great grandchildren, Gage Johnson, Jett Johnson, Dallas Hardt, Sophie Johnson, May Hardt, Owen Hughes and Oliver Hughes; his siblings-in-law, Billy Pearson and Betty Hughes; his sister Kathy; and his siblings-in-law, Keith Reser, Evelyn Keller, Joyce Rains, Margaret Rains and Cindy Rains.
