It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marie Hoeflicker Burkhart (Independence, Missouri), who passed away on April 13, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Michael and Mary Alice Smith Hoeflicker; and her brothers, Billy Bob Hoeflicker and Lee Hoeflicker. She is survived by: her husband John Herman Burkhart; her siblings, Gary (Terri Hoeflicker), Bonnie Lane, Jo Prince, Virginia (Kenny Pessetto) and Margie (Guy D'Aurelio); her children, Steven Burkhart, Cynthia (Michael Smith), Michael (Sue Burkhart), Shelly Ellington and Greg Burkhart; and her great grandchildren, Evryn Burkhart, Trinity Grimes, Nathan Smith, Alex Smith, Abby Smith, Cohen Ayre, Jaelynn Grote, Gavin Grote and Camden Grote. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
