He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert D. McGinnis and Bertha L. Caylor (McGinnis); and his brother Duane McGinnis. He is survived by: his brother Gary P. McGinnis of Independence; and his children, Jerry D. McGinnis, Jr. (Tina) of Independence and Crystal M. McGinnis of Independence. He is also survived by six grandchildren (Sandra Miranda, Michelle McGinnis, Emily McGinnis, Allison McGinnis, Amiah Mollett, and Madison Wharton); 2 step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
