He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Christner and Carrie Christner; and his wife Ada. He is survived by: his brother George; and his close friend Roger. He is also survived by his daughter, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Honor Flight of Kansas City.
