He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Gardner; his former wife Ramona Stewart; his children, Yvonne Howell, Patty Duley, David Gardner and Billy Gardner; his granddaughter Jessica Gardner; and his siblings, Jimmy Gardner, Joseph Gardner and Margaret Robertson.
He is survived by: his son Kenny Gardner (Patti) of Overland Park, KS; his children-in-law, Bob Howell of Columbia, MO, Bill Duley of Independence, MO and Tina Gardner of Raytown, MO; and his siblings, Bill Gardner of Independence, MO, John Gardner of Princeton, MN and Frances Piper of Gold Beach, OR. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
