He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Roy Erskin and Ruth Erskin (Wilbur); his wife Carol Helms; his children, Danny Erskin (Christy) of Carthage, David Erskin (Connie) of Carthage and Kathy Mitchell (Scott) of Joplin; and his siblings, Leonard Erskin of Monett, Richard Erskin of Joplin and Judy Erskin of Claremore, OK. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
