With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Gillespie (Jefferson City, Missouri), who passed away on December 16, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby Sturgeon and Hazel Sturgeon; her spouse Marion Leroy Gillespie; her daughter Patricia Diane Gillespie; her brothers, Shelby Jr., Jack and Don; and her cousin Bob White.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael James Gillespie of Kansas City and Kelly Patrick Gillespie; her daughter-in-law Diane Kay Thompson Gillespie of Jefferson City; and her granddaughter Sarah Patricia Gillespie of Washington, D. C.
In lieu of flowers, the Gillespie family encourages acts of kindness and service to those in need, and gifts to the causes and charities important to our friends.
