He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Talken and Leona Talken (Heimericks); his son Norman Talken; his wife Rose Koenigsfeld Lahr; his siblings, Omar, Jerome Talken and Georgia Rudroff; and his siblings-in-law, Regina Talken, Vincent Holzer, Dick Landtiser, Leonard Rudroff, Sylvester Reinkemeyer, Guy Cleveland and Ralph Talken.
He is survived by: his son Gerard; his former spouses, Romajean Simpson and Margaret Ann Schollmeyer; his stepchildren, Joyce Browner (Ray), Sharon Sapp (Lonnie), Ralph Simpson (Pat), Robert Simpson (Kathy), Charlene Porting Dowell, Carl Porting (Sue), Maria Stockman and Jon Porting (Nicole); and his siblings, Stanley Talken (Vicky) of Lake Zurich, Bernard Talken (Alberta) of Garden City, Missouri, Carrie Landtiser of Lees Summit, Maxelinda Reinkemeyer Cleveland of New Bloomfield, Frances Talken of Troy, Barbara Poetker (Larry) of Jefferson City and Catherine Andres (Gene) of Portland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Central Missouri Hospice or charity of Donor's choice.
