It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Donald Atkinson (Jefferson City, Missouri), born in Boonville, Missouri, who passed away on February 6, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Atkinson and Carolyn Atkinson (Holmes); his brother Paul Atkinson; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Williams and Jay Fudge.
He is survived by: his former wife Sandra K. Smith; his wife Donna K. Cowan; his sons, James Atkinson (Mariate Echeverry) of Asheville, NC and Philip Atkinson (Marianne); his grandchildren, Hannah Cameron-Atkinson, William Atkinson, Harrison Atkinson, Sophia Echeverry-Pereda and Mckenzie Atkinson; and his sisters, Carolyn Ruth Williams of Liberty, MO, Mary Jane Fudge of Blue Springs, MO and Linda Ann Potter (Jim) of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by one niece; and six nephews.
