He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Sayers and Ethel Franks Sayers; his wife Betty L. Waldron; and his siblings, Raymond Sayers, Dick Sayers, Paul Sayers and Mae Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Russell "Russ" Sayers, Jr. of Buckner, MO, Kenny R. Sayers (Vita) of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Jay C. Sayers (Carol), Linda Lander (Charlie) of Fulton, MO and Susan Mittler (Maury) of Washington, MO.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
