He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman J. Ranum and Fairrie B. Rohrbach Ranum; his wife Jackie; his stepson Jeff Copeland (Paulette); his stepgranddaughter Claire Copeland; his sisters, Suzanne Carter (Wayne) and Jean Bennion; his nephews, Peter Carter (Debbie) of Carthage, Paul Carter (Connie) of Carthage, John Carter (Laura) of Carthage, Nathan Ray and Grand Junction; his niece Mary Carter; his great-nephews, Lathe Carter (Brittney), Landon Carter, Ryan Carter (Haley), Kaden Carter, Josh Ray and Justin Ray; his great-niece Kristina Carter; and his sisters-in-law, Leslie Sparlin (Mike) and Kelly Benson (Buddy). He was also cherished by four great great nieces and nephews.
