It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Henry Voorvaart of Kahoka, Missouri, who passed away on May 19, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his father Henry G. Voorvaart; his sisters, Mary Murphy of Phoenix, AZ and Martha Lowry of Pittsfield, IL; and his children, Henry (Sharon) and Rosemarie.
He is survived by : his wife Patricia; his children, Peter (Darla) of Windsor Locks, CT, William (Christina) of Coventry, CT, Lisa of Granby, CT and Tara Derouen (Michael) of Summerville, SC; his nephew Michael Murphy of Dallas, TX; his nieces, Marcia Murphy of Dallas, TX, Vicki Harshman of Pittsfield, IL, Joyce Rice of Shell Rock, IA and Sandy Holmes of Bellbrooke, OH; his grandchildren, Andrew Laplante, Chelsea Voorvaart, Rachael Johnson, Amanda Voorvaart, Tucker Voorvaart, Bailey Voorvaart, Burton Koch, Elizabeth Koch and Lindsay Combs; his great grandchildren, Jacob Johnson and Railynn Johnson; his brother-in-law Walt Lowry; his nieces, Jennifer Frank of East Granby, CT and Carol Reilly (Tom); his great-niece Katie; and his great-nephew Alex of Southington, CT.. He is also survived by brother, and dear family friends.
