He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Frances Chapman and Ralph Chapman; his great-grandparent Lorene Riley; and his sister Darneisha Witherspoon. He is survived by: his parents, Michelle Lynette Witherspoon and Larry Witherspoon; his children, Cameron, A'janai, Darnell Jr., Dashanae, Amaya, Stella, Taylor and Darius; his siblings, Keisa Baker and Darshawn Witherspoon; his nieces, Jasmine Witherspoon and Kyra Francis; his granddaughter Amare'e Hughley; and his great-nephew Kamari Francis-Hill.
