It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Mae Lampkin of Kansas City, Missouri, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schrimsher and Adeline Schrimsher. She is survived by: her sisters, Anne Harris and Adelaide Hershey; her children, Essie Rhyne, Toni Parker, Clinton Parker and Clarence R. Lampkin; and her grandchildren, Marlon Parker, Felicia Rhyne, Damien Hardin, Caniece Rhyne, Jason Hardin, Andreaus Hardin, Dwight Taylor (Shanice), Chrisean Baker (Ron), Alexis Lampkin and Bryce Lampkin. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She always looked out for me and whenever she saw me working outside in the yard. She offered me a shade and a cold drink when it was hot and warm shelter when it was cold. But what she offered most importantly was her kindness. Her kindness Is something not often seen nowadays.
