He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret B. McShane (McNally) and Edward J. McShane, Sr.; his granddaughter Mary Catherine McShane; and his brother-in-law Charlie O'Dower. He is survived by: his wife Ann Lancaster; his children, Kathleen McShane Gadwood (Katie), Margaret (Peggy), Karen McShane and Patrick McShane (Debbie); his grandchildren, Conner Gadwood (Maddie), Brian Gadwood, Alex Rowe, Nick Rowe, Kelly Rowe, Leo McShane, Annie McShane and Jack McShane; his siblings-in-law, Ken Lancaster, Mary O'Dower and Roberta Lancaster; and his nephew Troy Lancaster (Kristin).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:40 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (815 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A rosary will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131).
