James Kenneth Lakey Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kenneth Lakey Sr. of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kenneth and Anna Julia Lakey (Dezulski); his wife Lori; his brother Gary; and his close friends, Tom Stoltz and Kirk "Red" Miller.
He is survived by: his children, James Kenneth Lakey, Jr. (Pam), Jill Brown (Ryan) and Alex Carnes; his former wife Carol Lakey; and his grandchildren, Jaxon, Jameson and Janet.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (701 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
