Lawrence A. Zastrow Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence A. Zastrow (Kansas City, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lawrence A. Zastrow to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Zastrow and Mary Zastrow (Simmons); and his siblings, Magdalene Headly, Mary Terry, AnnaBeth Kassing, Katherine Cassidy, Joseph, Bernard, Richard and Father John.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice J Verkamp of Kansas City; his children, Robert (Cindy) of Smithville, MO, Terri Stafford (Tod) of St Louis, MO and Carol Shaver of Gladstone, MO; his grandchildren, Alex Zastrow, Sam Stafford, Olivia Shaver and Joe Shaver; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Zastrow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Gabriel Archangel Parish (4737 N Cleveland Ave, Kansas City, MO 64117). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St Vincent de Paul Society (stgabrielskc.com) or COPD foundation (COPDfoundation.org).
