He was predeceased by: his parents, James Higbee and Verna Higbee (Jacobson); and his wife Deborah "Debbie" Higbee (VanRyckeghem). He is survived by: his children, Caroline Kisler, Chris Higbee and Sean Higbee (Abbie Michelova-Higbee); and his grandchildren, Alex Kisler, Timothy Kisler, Logan Kisler, Hudson Kisler, Shelbie Higbee, AJ Higbee, Henry Higbee, Myles Higbee, Madilynn Higbee and Carson Higbee. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
