She was predeceased by: her mother Connie Mae Norton Utter; and her son Darryl Lee Wells. She is survived by: her significant other James R. "Jim" Wells; her daughter Cheryl L. Crane (Randy Taylor) of Platte City, MO; and her sister Linda K. Williams (Brian Tisch) of Independence, MO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lois's honor to Children's Mercy Hospital.
