He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Zavelo and Hilda Zavelo; and his sister Wilma Marx. He is survived by: his sons, Donald Bruce and Michael Scott; his wife Donna Zavelo; his sons, Donald Zavelo (Anne) and Scott Zavelo (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Zaley Zavelo Nelson, Sagan Zavelo, Myles Zavelo and Oliver Gentile; and his great grandchildren, Ada Nelson and Torunn Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wacknov Scholarship Fund @ Kehilath Israel Synagogue or to the American Heart Association.
