With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayland Taylor (Kansas City, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Darryl Taylor, Rickey Wallace, Monty Wallace and Chiquita Rye; his uncle Emmett Smith; his aunt Jamesetta Smith; his parents, Ernestine Taylor (Smith) and James Taylor; his wife Jerri Taylor; his children, Wayland Taylor (Renee) and Brianna Webb (Jesse); his grandchildren, Lyla, Skylar and Wyatt; his siblings, Ricketta Wallace, Mela, Erica Taylor and Derrick B. Smith; and his uncle Elder Hershel Strothers (BJ). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels - Missouri (1800 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64109). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131).
