She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Scott Carter and Josephine Dama Carter Evans (Camper); and her brothers, Walter Scott Carter, Jr., Elywn Foy McLendon and William Patrick Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, William Scott Lewis (Michelle) of Rogers, AR, Michele Moody (Kenneth) of Liberty, MO and Matthew Lewis (Allison) of Charlotte, NC; and her sister Sheryl Beier (Leo) of Lawrence, KS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Trinity Episcopal Church Garden Fund in Atchison, KS or the American Cancer Society.
