He was predeceased by : his parents, George A. Friesz and Nettie Friesz (Weiseman); his brothers, Charles Gail Friesz, Donald Gene Friesz and Loren Lee Friesz; his grandson Brent Schnetzler; and his great grandchild Karrayna.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Linneman; his children, James Friesz (Harla) of Palmyra, MO, Dianna Jennings of Utica, MO, Brenda Schnetzler (Roger) of Keytesville, MO, Bobby Friesz (Alta Woolston) of Keytesville, MO and Steve Friesz (Judy Cummings) of Moberly, MO; his grandchildren, Jaime, James Dustin, Jessica, Kayla, Devon, Nicholas, Ryan, Sara, Nikki, Brena and Brayden; and his sister-in-law Kessie Friesz. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
