She was predeceased by : her parents, Woodrow Warren and Bertha Alice Pettit (Pinkerton); her spouse Pearl Abernathy; and her siblings, Merl, Darrell, Phillip Pettit and Mary Pettit.

She is survived by : her children, Nathaniel McGowin of Kirksville, MO, Anna Conley (Carl) of Novinger, MO, Flora Ridgeway (Mark) of Columbia, MO, Stephanie Perkins of Chillicothe, MO and Leona Jackson (Charles) of Moravia, IA. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
