She is survived by: her children, Margaret Raab (Peg) of Iowa City, Kathy Shemanski (Gary) of Iowa City, Dave Johnson (Deb) of Iowa City and Scott Johnson (Laura) of Kirksville, MO; her grandchildren, Adam Raab (Jolene) of Iowa City, Ryan Johnson (Chelsea) of Iowa City, Julie Artman (Bryan) of Houston, TX, Lindsey Keppler of Des Moines, Garret Johnson and Elyse Johnson of Kirksville, MO; and her brother William Hotz (Bill).

Because of her great love for dogs, Marilyn requested that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Iowa City Animal Shelter.
