He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert C. Fanning and Ora L. Fanning (Holtsclaw); his son Michael Eugene Fanning; his brother-in-law William James; his granddaughter Christy Leanna Zuber; and his sister-in-law Eugenia Fanning (Brasher).
He is survived by: his wife Lena Mae Fanning; his daughters, Ima Jean Probert (Tom), Kathy Louella Fanning, Becky Colleen Ritchey (Chuck) and Tonie Rena Probert (Victor); his granddaughters, Amanda Harris (Zuber) and Hannah Shaw (Probert); his great grandchild Blakely Renee Shaw; and his siblings, Jaunita James, Mary Lou York (Glen) and Gene Fanning (Sue). He is also survived by six nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; and six great-nephews.
