She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Bouse and Maude Mae Bouse; her siblings, Zenobia Raines, Lucille Bouse, Pauline Bouse, Charlene Johnson, Harold Bouse and Dale Bouse; her husband Robert R. Simmons, Sr.; her grandson Shawn Daniel DeCoursey; and her daughter-in-law Tomiko Simmons.

She is survived by: her sister Betty Surprise; her children, Robert R. Simmons, Jr. and Hazel M. DeCoursey; her grandson Scott C. DeCoursey; and her great grandchild Fallyn Violetta DeCoursey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
