With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melba Heaton (Lamar, Missouri), born in Dongola, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Malby Eddleman and Henrietta Eddleman (Devault); her husband Donald Heaton; her siblings, John Eddleman, Frank Eddleman, Mary Alice Schloeman and Lodema McCommons; and her son-in-law Darrel Jumper.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Jumper of Pacific, MO., Ed Heaton (Vonna) of Rockville and Patty Johnston (Wayne) of Lamar, MO.; and her grandchildren, Thresa Benney (Ken), Brenda Jumper, Tony Heaton and Dr. Sarah Heaton.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Jasper or the Gideons.
