He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Gary Decker and Vurble Moureen Decker (Payton); his brothers, Jimmie Lee Decker and Boyd Louis Decker; his daughter-in-law Audria Donet Decker; and his pet Buddy.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sue Bohannon; his children, Richard Decker, Jr. and Samantha Benson (Richard) of Joplin, MO; his grandchildren, Nathan Alexander Decker, Sara Brooke Benson and Tyler Bryce Benson; and his sister Francis (Kenneth).
