Lewis Defries Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Defries of Lathrop, Missouri, who passed away on October 14, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian DeFries and Edine DeFries (Coffelt); and his siblings, Virgil DeFries and Dolores Potter. He is survived by: his wife Diane Stair; his sons, Mike DeFries (Penny) of Turney, John DeFries (Lynn) of Lawson, Jim DeFries of Turney and Bill (Kamra) of Novinger; his brother Christian DeFries of California; and his grandchildren, Steve Matt (Jamie), Johnathan (Stephanie), Lucas, Billie (Mike), Brack, Ian (Danielle), West, Raven, Brynli, Brooklyn, Baylie, Lewis Reed and Jessica (Justin). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Lathrop Building Fund in care of the funeral home. ***The family respectfully asks that you wear a mask and practice social distancing at the church.
