He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gainey and Janice Jane (Jackson); and his grandmother Norma Jeane Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Nicholaus Gainey of Lee's Summit, MO, Amber Peterson of Lee's Summit, MO, Taylor Sikkenga of Nebraska and Julian Stone of Independence, MO; and his siblings, Kelley Poulos (Steve) of Illinois and Mark Stevens of Arizona.
