We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2021, at the age of 75, Althea Marie Gerdes of Liberty, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Barnes and Eunice Barnes (James); her son Steven Gerdes; and her brother Kenneth. She is survived by : her children, Charles Gerdes (Angie) of Kansas City, MO, Julie Ackerman (Daniel) of Liberty, MO and Leland Gerdes of Liberty, MO; her siblings, Dwaine Barnes (Charlene) of Austin, TX, James Barnes (Tako) of Las Vegas, NV, Leroy Barnes of Humboldt, NE and Grace Barnes of Lincoln, NE.; her grandchildren, Bethany, Sarah, Jillian, Henry, Alexandria (Jordan), Darron (Shy), Claudia (Sam), Sydney, Allie and Noah; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Sophia, Kenna, Hazyl, Henna, Lucas, August, Kaliyah of Kamiyah, KV and MJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the KC Pet Project.
